++++ Closing the Caverns |
Our man blows the caverns shut.

++++ The Shaft |
We go check out a door that was locked but forced open.  We find the cannon.  We arrange a party to recover it for the ship. Someone was trying to lower the cannon into a square hole so deep our lanterns do not reveal the bottom.  We think it's 300 feet deep.  RachelRoss believes she can repair the rig to let us lower ourselves down.

Nearby is a room with a ruined campsite, along with a couple of corpses (well, we think 2, kinda torn apart).  We find a few useful items.  Find a journal.  EliasWhite.  Ex-union soldier.  Went on expedition to find the treasures of the RuinsOfBordobaar.

Meanwhile, RachelRoss has repaired the rig.

++++ The Descent |
MichelStMarie and I go down on the platform.  We find a huge chamber filled with treasure.  There is a fetid pool of water in the middle, and a large red cylinder covered in glyphs.  They send down the cannon and join us.

++++ The Worm Turns |

    - ...
    - RachelRoss runs up and jumps up on the worms head.
    - Worm rises up and smacks down on us, crushing ElizabethWhite (RachelRoss holds on!).
    - MichelStMarie throws a stick of dynamite into its mouth
  - Round
    - We notice a red mist has filled the room.
    - ApprenticeRika shoots the worm in the mouth for little effect
    - Our man shoots the worm with the cannon!  RachelRoss slides down the back of the worm to avoid the blast.
    - I run past the worm to the treasure pile, and take a shot (no real effect)
    - AlinaBrowning runs over by me.
    - RachelRoss stabs it but no effect
    - MichelStMarie throws another stick of dynamite but misses.
    - Worm attack MichelStMarie but misses
  - Round
    - DoctorGrant calls for help from ApprenticeRika as he goes through his bag
    - RachelRoss dismounts.
    - ApprenticeRika helps DoctorGrant mix up some medicine against the red sand
    - Ted loads the cannon and shoots, hitting a glancing blow
    - AlinaBrowning runs over and grabs the cylinder
    - Worm attacks RachelRoss
    - I run over to help RachelRoss
  - Round
    - ...
    - Ted shoots the worm with the cannon (34!) wounding it grievously
    - Worm seems to recover a bit, and slams the cannoneers!  They jump aside, but it damages the cannon carriage.
    - ApprenticeRika determines that the worm is vulnerable to acid and salt.
    - DoctorGrant throws an acid grenade at it.
    - RachelRoss runs over to the cannon
    - MichelStMarie throws another stick of dynamite at it.
    - Worm tries to slam me, AlinaBrowning and ApprenticeRika, but everyone dives aside
    - I throw a stick of dynamite at it, but it's a dud
    - ApprenticeRika ...
    - ...
    - RachelRoss fixes the cannon
    - Ted shoots it (25)
  - Round
    - MichelStMarie loads the cannon and steps aside
    - RachelRoss throws dynamite
    - AlinaBrowning throws dynamite
    - Worm attacks MichelStMarie but misses
    - I throw dynamite in it's mouth, but no damage
    - Ted shoots the cannon
  - Round

    - ApprenticeRika 
    - ...
    - AlinaBrowning Learns Stuff from the cylinder
    - I prepare 7 sticks of dynamite
    - Worm smashes MichelStMarie

    - Ted shoots the cannon. Solid hit.

    - I throw the dynamite in its mouth, head explodes
