++++ Fight the Giant Scorpion |

    - AlinaBrowning runs forward, but is blocked by me
    - DoctorGrant runs forward

    - RachelRoss runs forward and shoots the scorpion, shaking it
    - MichelStMarie shoots it dead

++++ Looting the rooms |
There is a pile of bones, with a couple of cocooned bodies in it.  There is a pile of eggs in the corner.  MichelStMarie and I destroy them.  The room has no other exits.

RachelRoss checks out the room to the east.  Empty except for a couple of broken statues, but RachelRoss finds something metallic and large under the rubble.  It a piece of a support for a light ship's cannon. She also finds scraps of British military uniforms.

In the scorpion room, we examine the bodies.  They appear to be humans in clothes of American make.  There is an elephant gun, and one of the bodies has a bandoleer of ammo for it.  I grab the elephant gun and ammo.  There is another body wearing a coat woven of copper with a strange buckle.  Third body has an awesome bowie knife.  RachelRoss takes the knife.

++++ Return to Camp |
We look to the north and find some further corridors, but we are exhausted and decide to go back to base camp.  When we arrive, we find that savages have also attacked the camp.  The took some casualties, but no deaths, and retreated to the ship.  We join them.

I clean up the gun.

MichelStMarie examines the vest.  He finds a dial.  He turns it, and the vest whines, shimmers and almost disappears.

++++ Return to the Labyrinth |
Next Day

We return to where we left off.  On the way, we notice that someone has remove all the bodies; all that remains are pools and streaks of blood.

++++ Angry Savages Attack |
We are examining the statue of the Knowledge God, when the savages attack again!

  - Round
    - Savages
      - They swarm up the platform, past the statue and meet me in the doorway (I am guarding the doctor).
      - A couple hit me, cutting me.
      - One attack AlinaBrowning, but trips and stuns himself.  Another presses her and knocks her off balance.  Another hurts her pretty bad.
      - RachelRoss is also hurt.
    - AlinaBrowning gathers her composure and shoots at one, but misses.  She move into the room behind me.
    - DoctorGrant shoots one dead with his shotgun.
    - ElizabethWhite shoots another, but it has little effect.
    - RachelRoss stabs one in the face, killing it in a fountain of blood.  She runs into the corner.
    - I cut one down.
    - MichelStMarie swings his bayonet at one then retreats to the other doorway, 
  - Round
    - MichelStMarie shoots back at them, killing one.
    - AlinaBrowning shoots and misses
    - RachelRoss stabs another, stunning it.  She hurts one, then retreats back to our doorway.
    - I step forward and kill the last of the first wave (but the rest have just climbed over the ledge and are charging us.
    - DoctorGrant shoots his shotgun, blowing one back off the edge of the ledge.
    - ElizabethWhite kills one with her shotgun as well
    - Savages
      - A couple attack MichelStMarie, but his cover protects him.
      - Three attack me, but only one hits--ripping his claws across my battered ribs.
  - Round
    - AlinaBrowning shoots one, but it shrugs it off.
    - I try to kill the one slipping past me, but he is too quick
    - Savages
      - A couple gang up on me, tearing my coat and laying my arm open and bleeding.
      - They attack MichelStMarie, but he manages to dodge around the edge of his doorway.
    - RachelRoss runs over and kills one of the ones harrying MichelStMarie with her rifle
    - DoctorGrant kills the one that slipped past me with his shotgun
    - ElizabethWhite kills the one that just ripped my arm.
  - Round
    - RachelRoss kills the last one fighting her and MichelStMarie
    - Savages
      - One claws at me, but I parry it away.
      - The other one runs up and attacks RachelRoss, but misses.
    - I swing my sword, but it dodges as pain lances down my arm
    - AlinaBrowning blows away the one attacking RachelRoss with her pistol.
    - MichelStMarie kills the one trying to rip out my throat. 

DoctorGrant and ElizabethWhite tend to our wounds. They are able to help AlinaBrowning a little, and it turns out all I needed was some good British bandages.

++++ Through the throne room |
We proceed to the north, down a corridor.  We come to a left or straight choice, and end up flipping a coin (left/south).  A short corridor leads to a large chamber with a raise dais to the east, with two columns and two stone fountains.  There is a large alcove to the west (with a door to the north), and a doorway to the south (below the dais) which RachelRoss runs to.

It leads to a room with a large set of stairs down to the south.  There are also two exits to the north (including the one we come through) and one to the east.  MichelStMarie checks out the other northern exit.

++++ Another Scorpion |
RachelRoss goes down the stairs into another room, and I follow. Another giant scorpion beast attacks RachelRoss.

  - Round
    - I step up and attack it twice, but my sword thuds off its chitinous armor.
    - MichelStMarie shots it, the the shot richochets off its chitinous armor.  Kinda a theme going here.
    - Scorpion tries to grab RachelRoss, but she deftly steps to the side.  It also misses with its stinger
    - RachelRoss stabs it right in the braincase, and it collapses immediately.

The room where it came out of (to the east) is empty except for the bones of its victims.  The room to the west is empty except for a doorway to the south.  To the south of this room is a room we have been in before.  We decide to go north through the doorway MichelStMarie was investigating.
