++++ Giant Worm Room |
I go up some stairs and look into a room to the south.  There is a room to the south, several statues.  To the west is a collapsed wall, caused by a **Giant Worm**!  Nobody else believes that it's a Worm, but I know better.

AlinaBrowning finds some clawmarks (she thinks the BeastmenOfBordobaar dug it--pfft). RachelRoss finds some wires and blasting caps in the rubble.

RachelRoss moves through the south door, into a corridor.

++++ More Savages (Yes, More) |
We move out of the corridor into a large, multi-level room with a large statue surrounded by 4 columns in the middle.  RachelRoss hears the savages coming from a doorway at the lowest level (of 3).  We establish a firing position covering that doorway.

    - Savages
      - A bunch of them burst into the room, running almost too fast to shoot.
    - I shoot and miss
    - MichelStMarie shoots at one and misses

    - AlinaBrowning shoots one, but has little effect
    - DoctorGrant shoots one, killing it.
    - ElizabethWhite ...
    - MichelStMarie shoots one, killing it and scaring the guy beside him.
    - I hit one with a shotgun slug, killing it.
    - Savages
      - Several start to climb up the ledge to us
      - Several run around and attack RachelRoss.
    - RachelRoss misses, and runs back towards us.
  - Round
    - RachelRoss shoots one, killing it
    - I drop one clambering up the ledge
    - MichelStMarie moves to get a shot, and kills one
    - Savages
      - Three of them clamber up onto our level and attack.
        - One scores AlinaBrowning, driving her back a bit
        - One scrabbles at DoctorGrant, but he parries it away
        - The third claws ElizabethWhite, but with little effect
      - The others run around and attack RachelRoss
        - One misses but the other claws her, shaking her.
    - AlinaBrowning gathers her courage, and shoots one in the face.  Well, just 6 inches to the left.  Close.
    - DoctorGrant whips out his sabre and slashes at them, but they duck his blow.

    - AlinaBrowning shoots one dead
    - I reload and shoot one dead
    - RachelRoss recovers, and bayonets one, dropping it.
    - DoctorGrant cuts one bad.
    - Savages
      - One runs up on RachelRoss and wounds her.
    - MichelStMarie kills the one on RachelRoss

    - RachelRoss kills the last one

++++ Another Giant Bug (Yes, another) |
We search back north.  I am checking a small room.  A giant bug lunges out.

  - Surprise
    - It grabs and shakes me.
  - Round
    - DoctorGrant treats RachelRoss' wounds
    - Bug stings me, grabs me, and pulls me into  the darkness
    - RachelRoss runs after and stuns it.
    - AlinaBrowning shoots it, but the bullet bounces
    - MichelStMarie moves over and shoots it, but it only scores its tough hide.
  - Round (Joker)
    - AlinaBrowning hits again
    - I pull out my sword and kill it.

We search the room.  MichelStMarie finds an old leather satchel with some notes inside.  Something clanks inside as well.  He finds three vials.  Professor MaximillianBennet (name on satchel)..  I find an old martian longsword/pistol.

We continue searching the ruins.  We find a room with large scratch marks, and in the next room we find an empty gun carriage.

We find another area to the west.  Occupied by Savages!

++++ The Caverns of Bordobaar |
We search a tunnel opening to the south.  It opens into a vast network of caverns.  We explore for a while, and, realizing we can never clear such a large network of the BeastmenOfBordobaar, we fall back and prepare to blast the caverns shut.
