2021.04.18 High Lord Lesion

The Holy of Holies

MrGreen and 2 others are suspended from the ceiling, chained to giant rings.

We prepare ourselves to storm the dark altar.

  1. Round
    1. KoraChang runs around the corner and shoots a fireball from her thrower at the demons to the right of the archway
    2. JohnnyFlame runs up and flames the demons at the demons to the left
    3. I run up and put a group of WormZombies to sleep. I shoot the one left standing with my flame rifle, but has little effect.
    4. KevinMacFargle flies into the chamber, and shoots at the DarkPriest running the ceremony. Who is now just a blood splot.
    5. BobBobowski runs up to the entryway and casts Exalted Dispel on the altar where the DarkPriest and MrGreen are in the center of the chamber. The alter shatters. The BioBorg's rune axe shatters.
    6. Demons
      1. The Demon Lord (HighLordLesion) on the Throne stands and disappears in a swirl of sparks.
      2. The (High?) DarkPriest summons a gigantic worm out of the fetid pool before the throne.
      3. A group of WormZombies charge forward and meet us in the archway.
      4. More demons sweep down from platforms in the wings.
      5. A couple of the BioBorgs shoot railguns at KevinMacFargle and hit; but they bounce off
      6. BioBorg shoots at KoraChang but does not seem to affect her.
      7. BioBorg shoots at JohnnyFlame, and shakes him
      8. A WormZombie attempts to cut me in half, but misses
      9. AimilMacEalar is attacked.
      10. HighLordLesion reappears right in the archway, between us and the altar (and MrGreen)
  2. Round
    1. BobBobowski (invisible) runs up to HighLordLesion and stabs it twice with his magic sword, wounding it! A wave of ice swiftly grows across its skin, but HighLordLesion shakes it off.
    2. JohnnyFlame recovers and fireballs HighLordLesion and the demons in the archway. Frys the smaller demons, and wounds HighLordLesion.

    4. Demons
      1. HighLordLesion soaks his damage and fast regenerates. He casts a spell in a burst of light. BobBobowski appears just behind the demon. He swings his huge mace at KevinMacFargle and smashes the Sammas pilot, but KevinMacFargle twists around the blow, taking only superficial damage.
      2. BioBorg attacks BobBobowski, but BobBobowski stabs it first, sliding off its armor.
      3. BioBorg shoots at KevinMacFargle and hits, doing little damage
      4. WormZombies attack JohnnyFlame, hitting twice, but he soaks it.
      5. WormZombies attack me, but my device deflects them.
    5. I throw my ant swarm at them and entangle them. Then I run past them, summon 4 sentinels and shoot at a BioBorg (but miss). The 4 sentinels appear near a couple of BioBorgs, and whale on them, to little effect.
    6. KevinMacFargle flys back and up and shoots and fires a rocket at HighLordLesion.
    7. KoraChang charges in and attacks HighLordLesion with a giant silver chainsword, but he parries.
  3. Round
    1. Demons
      1. HighLordLesion misses KoraChang, turns and misses BobBobowski, then throws a flaming, screaming skull at KevinMacFargle, hitting him (but seems to have little effect).
      2. BioBorg attacks a Sentinel and destroys it.
      3. BioBorg attacks two Sentinels and destory them.
      4. BioBorg shoots at KevinMacFargle, hits but only shakes him.
      5. Worm rider moves around the altar
      6. More demons advance
    2. KevinMacFargle flies back and shoots HighLordLesion, hitting 3 times, shaking him. Then he fires a rocket at the BioBorg on the back of the altar, shaking it as well.
    3. I lower HighLordLesion's spirit, then try to put him to sleep, but he shakes it off.
      1. Last Sentinel attacks a BioBorg, but is parried.
    4. KoraChang attacks HighLordLesion with her silver chainsword but he is a tough bastard.
    5. AimilMacEalar shoots a glowing, magical arrow at HighLordLesion, but does no damage.
    6. SparkleDew casts a spell, confusing a group of demons.
    7. JohnnyFlame moves to get a better view (and put the two entangled WormZombies inside his flame aura), and fireballs the worm and its rider. Kills the rider, and burns the worm.
    8. BobBobowski runs over and cuts MrGreen free and puts an item in his hand. He turns and casts a bolt at the demon.
  4. Round
    1. KoraChang attacks HighLordLesion (toe to toe with the demon lord!). She screams (it almost sounds like two people). HighLordLesion parries her swing.
    2. AimilMacEalar shoots HighLordLesion with another glowing arrow, to no effect. She runs towards the high lord.
    3. KevinMacFargle shoots at the demon. Hits 3 times, but damn, that demon is tough.
    4. JohnnyFlame runs into the central chamber to the right, and throws a fireball at the worm, killing it.
    5. BobBobowski teleports MrGreen, Wolf, other 2 prisoners, and SparkleDew to the portal (on the dais, behind the throne). The guards startle and turn towards them. He throws a grenade at one pair of guards, killing them.
    6. I try to put HighLordLesion to sleep twice (he resists), then run past him. My sentinel attacks a BioBorg, but does not penetrate its armor.
    7. Demons
      1. HighLordLesion unshakes and attacks KoraChang and me. Kills KoraChang. Almost kills me. I lay on the ground, stunned.
      2. A DarkPriest appears near the portal, on the throne dais.
      3. A throne guards attack BobBobowski (misses)
      4. Another throne guard pulls out a gem and attacks BobBobowski and the wolf with a cone of fire (but they dodge).
      5. BioBorg shakes my last Sentinel
      6. BioBorg shoots KevinMacFargle hitting 4 times.
      7. BioBorg shoots at JohnnyFlame, hitting 3 times. JohnnyFlame falls down, and his flame goes out.
  5. Round
    1. I run off the altar, cast fly and heal on myself.
    2. KevinMacFargle flys over and grabs JohnnyFlame, shooting at HighLordLesion as he goes, killing him!
    3. SparkleDew appears and gives a healing worm (but it does not help).
    4. AimilMacEalar runs for the portal.
    5. Wolf attacks the DarkPriest on the dais (but misses).
    6. BobBobowski shoots both throne guards with his forearm blasters, killing one.
    7. Demons
      1. All the demons are in shock that HighLordLesion fell.
      2. The WormZombies are not shaken; they turn and advance up the steps towards the dais.
  6. Round
    1. Demons
      1. Demons unshake
      2. WormZombies attack AimilMacEalar, wounding her.
      3. WormZombies advance onto the lower dais, where the pool of water is.
      4. BioBorg shoots at BobBobowski but misses
      5. A couple shoot at KevinMacFargle, wounding him.
    2. BobBobowski shoots his invisible rocket launcher (killing a BioBorg). Then he throws a couple of grenades down at the WormZombies by the pool of water killing several of them.
    3. KevinMacFargle flies towards the portal, killing both the BioBorgs on the altar.
    4. MrGreen opens the portal to MercTown
    5. AimilMacEalar makes several frenzied attacks on the WormZombies, to little effect.
    6. Wolf attacks the DarkPriest on the dais, ripping out their throat.
    7. SparkleDew shoots rainbows and sparkles at them. It actually confuses them.
    8. I pop up over the altar, entangle the WormZombies attacking AimilMacEalar, and then fly over to the throne dais.
  7. Round
    1. BobBobowski shoots a couple of rockets towards the WormZombies attacking AimilMacEalar, killing them.
    2. AimilMacEalar runs for the dais. She shoots an arrow at the demons between her and the dais and it explodes in a thick cloud of smoke.
    3. KevinMacFargle drops off JohnnyFlame on the throne dais and does some first aid.
    4. I fly over to AimilMacEalar and cast fly on her.
    5. We fly back to the others and we escape back to MercTown.
