+We travel for several days, avoiding roads, hiding from the locals.  We eventually come across a high road.  Lots of traffic.  Slavers, etc.  We wait until evening, hoping the traffic will die down.
+There is less traffic, but here are patrols.  We hear disturbing noises in the night.  We try to time the patrols.  About every 90 minutes.  We risk it.
