 We are heading down the river, and pass a small village where there are several dead bodies on the bank (it is around midmorning).  The living villagers are milling around.

 We approach the village in TheAmazonia.  Chief tells us they are dying of a a bowel disease (cholora).  We tell them to boil water, and other hygiene tips.  We give them medicine.
 We are friends of the people.

+++++ Trading Stop |
+A day later we stop in another village and trade to replace some of our supplies.
+We are invited to a dinner.  We pump them for info. They want our tommy gun to kill a crocodile.  We offer to maybe do it ourselves.  The chief still wants the gun.  We offer a different rifle.
+We convince them, and they give us directions.
+"Beware, for the ruins bleed again!"

+++++ A Long Hike |
+We pack up and head up the creek to towards the ruins.
+Long tiring hike, but at least we make a good camp.

+++++ Piranhas |
+We come to a wide stream filled with Piranha.
+Maybe a grappling hook?  Maybe a raft?  Raft.  Takes the rest of the day.

+++++ Crocodile Pond |
+We come to a pool/pond in the river.  We notice crocodile slides and something shiny on other side.
+We get to the shiny--it's 9 mm shell casings.  European?  There is a dead croc nearby that was shot.  I check it's stomach but nothing human.

+++++ Failed Ambush |
+VirginiaDare notices a german sniper.

+    - We can see 5 germans
+    - DannyDare holds
+    - I slip forward and hide behind a convenient tree.
+    - DocGold aims his rifle at them.

+      - They spray us with bullets.  Whole lotta soaking going on.

+    - BuckSavage sprays them with his tommygun, killing 3 of them!

+    - DocGold shoots one with his lighting gun.
+    - I jump on one and wrap him up.

+      - One runs away.
+      - The other tries to break my grapple (fails)
+    - BuckSavage shoots at the runner, shakes him.

+++++ A different approach |
+I go scouting.  Climb a tree.  Cliff on other side of the river.
+I go to an area where there might be a ford.
+There is a bridge.  It leads to a cave opening in the cliffs.
+Native shaman on top of the bridge.  Had a gem and staff.  He is ritually sacrifice a tied up German.
+Armed with primitive weapons, crocodile skin armor.  Crocodile tooth spears.
+I hide until they leave.  About an hour later, they kick the German into the water, and the crocodiles eat him.  The gem glows and I feel strange.  The shaman turns and points at me.  He magics the trees against me.
+I try to run, but I don't get far.

+The others grow concerned and go looking for me.  They find me, about to be sacrificed to the Crocodile God.
