We are heading down the river, and pass a small village where there are several dead bodies on the bank (it is around midmorning). The living villagers are milling around.

We are about a day and a half away from our destination.

We approach the village in TheAmazonia. Chief tells us they are dying of a a bowel disease (cholora). We tell them to boil water, and other hygiene tips. We give them medicine.

We are friends of the people.

A day later we stop in another village and trade to replace some of our supplies.

We are invited to a dinner. We pump them for info. They want our tommy gun to kill a crocodile. We offer to maybe do it ourselves. The chief still wants the gun. We offer a different rifle.

We convince them, and they give us directions. “Beware, for the ruins bleed again!”

We pack up and head up the creek to towards the ruins. Long tiring hike, but at least we make a good camp.

We come to a wide stream filled with Piranha. Maybe a grappling hook? Maybe a raft? Raft. Takes the rest of the day.

We come to a pool/pond in the river. We notice crocodile slides and something shiny on other side.

We get to the shiny–it's 9 mm shell casings. European? There is a dead croc nearby that was shot. I check it's stomach but nothing human.
