2021.10.24 Prison of Light

We kick in a door an enter a large room in shambles. There is a body on the floor. Several figures with glowing blue eyes stand up from a table.

   4. But there are now undead crossbowmen on the balcony above!

   2. I destroy one with my crossbow
   3. OswynVanDyse turns them. They flee his righteous fury!
   4. CedricVonSaberhagen smashes one as it flees.

   1. I destroy one with my shortsword
   2. CedricVonSaberhagen destroys the last one.

The building caught fire during the fighting.

There is a fresh body on the floor. Seems to be an adventurer. Another on the upper level. We remove the bodies.

We try to stop the fire. Nope.

Loot the bodies instead.

We go inside and find an undead parody of a noble court.

We determine the one by the high chair wants us to sit at the tables below. We also see a couple of fresh corpses.

We eventually sit, and servants bring in empty trays and “serve” the tables.

And they are preparing to backstab us.

   2. I stab the leader (he ran into another room, all the others got turned)
   3. OswynVanDyse stabs him, killing it.

We find a brooch with the Ravenclaw Sigil and take (maybe give back to family?).

We continue to search and clear this level of the keep, before heading downstairs (where OswynVanDyse felt a great evil).

We eventually find a locked door with the symbol of the Morninglord. Locked from the outside.

We prepare to open the door.

We go in, find a bunch of broken statues, and some coffins. One radiates evil. We try to open it, but it is magically sealed.

OswynVanDyse drinks a potion of Cloud Giant Strength and pops it open. There is a young maiden inside. We open the inner casket and she wakes, screaming.

Her name is Maeven, and wants to know where her parents are.

The evil is in the amulet she was wearing (which we remove).

We take her outside, and a couple of us go inside to gather the loot:
