 +|  1  | med | Onion (185 g whole) |

 +|  1  | cup | Shredded cabbage (65 g) |

 +  - Prep
 +    - Dry and season pork chops
 +    - Dice apple into quarter inch pieces
 +    - Finely chop 1 cup of onion
 +    - Shred cabbage and then dice into small pieces
 +    - Rough chop potato into medium pieces
 +  - Cook
 +    - Put potato in a pot and cover with 2 inches of salted water.  Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.
 +    - Add cabbage and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes
 +    - Drain potato mixture and reserve liquid.
 +    - Mash potato mixture in the pot along with a tablespoon of the cooking liquid.  Continue adding cooking liquid as necessary.
 +    - In a hot oiled pan, cook the pork, turning frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes then set aside.
 +    - In same pan, add onions.  Season with salt and pepper and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.  Add apple and cook until they start to soften.
 +    - Add the vegetable broth and the pork to the pan.  Cook for 3 to 4 minutes for the pork to be done.  If necessary remove the pork again and cook the sauce until the apple is fully soft.
