====== Black Bean Sloppy Joes ====== {{tag>Recipe Vegetarian 5}} | 2 | Servings | ^ Qty ^ Unit ^ Ingredient ^ | 1 | cup | Black Beans | | ¼ | cup | Choppped Shallots | | 1 | ea | Garlic clove | | ⅓ | cup | Diced green chilis | | 1½ | cup | Crushed Tomatoes | | 1 | tbsp | Tomato Paste | | 1 | tsp | Worchestershire sauce | | 1 | tbsp | Spices (chili powder, cumin, coriander) | | 2 | ea | Hamburger buns | Serve with coleslaw. - Prep - Cut the shallots into chunks - Mince the garlic - Cook - Add shallots, garlic, and chilis to a small pan and cook until onions are soft. - Add beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, worchestershire sauce, and spices to pan. - Add ¼ cup water to sauce. - Bring to a boil then simmer until sauce reduces to desired consistency and beans are soft. - Warm or toast the buns - Serve over the buns open faced.
