Season with salt and pepper. Gently mix. - Cut romaine in half lengthwise through the root. - Cook - Form the meat into two patties. - Cook in a hot oiled pan for about 2 minutes on a side. - Flip once more, and cook for 4 to 6 minutes more on the same side. - Spoon the marinara over each patty. - Top with cheese. - Cover and add a little water for steam. - Cook until the cheese is melted; about 1 to 2 minutes more. - Remove to a covered plate. - Toast the buns - Sear the romaine for 2 to 4 minutes. - Place the burgers on the buns, and serve the romaine with the caesar dressing on the side.
