Moroccan Chard and Chickpeas

2 Servings
Qty Unit Ingredient
2 cups Chard (155 g chopped)
½ cup Canned diced tomatoes
1 cup Chickpeas (195 g)
½ tbsp Moroccan spices (coriander, cumin, allspice, cinnamon)
  1. Prep
    1. Remove the ribs from the chard.
    2. Dice the ribs into small pieces
    3. Tear or cut the leaves into 1 inch pieces
  2. Cook
    1. Add the chard ribs to a hot oiled pan and cook until softened (2 to 3 minutes)
    2. Add the chard leaves and spices and cook until the leaves are wilted.
    3. Add the tomatoes and chickpeas and ¼ cup water
    4. Simmer until chickpeas soften and the sauce thickens
