2021.05.24 Murder He Yelled

There is a local farmer whose childhood girlfriend was killed. He has been accused of killing her. He admits they planned to elope (she was betrothed to another), but did not kill her. We examine the body. Strangled. Seems to have scratched her attacker. We examine the boyfriend; no scratches even under his shirt.

The betrothed shows up and wants to railroad the boyfriend. He has bandages under his shirt.

AigneisTheDruid befriends BroggaTheBrute's horse using magic. HildThePaladin shoots her gun in the air “Silence!”.

Why let these outsiders decide our business/Being outsiders is the point.

He goes to mount his horse, but it backs away. He walks away angrily.

We ask about a strong house (not really). The barn? Yes, the barn in town. AigneisTheDruid chooses to sleep outside, but near the barn.

BroggaTheBrute tries to bribe UlfTheDane.

AigneisTheDruid pulls off his bandage, and we can all see his wounds, matching possible scratch marks.

BroggaTheBrute threatens us. I'm important. The Thane will punish you.

We take him and his men to his house to hold them there.

We find some valuables in the cellar, but we leave them (except an unknown vial).

We watch over the night. I see the father in the morning, and he leaves in anger.

The next evening, as we sit down to an awesome dinner, we hear howling in the distance.
