We go downstairs. Mostly the same, except a large statue of a Greek god or hero in the base of the tower (not the main hall.
WynchellTheAlchemist notices that the statue is some sort of steam powered automaton. It seems to be powered by peat.
AldwynnTheBattlePriest finds notes about a keystone on some blueprints he found on a table next to the automaton.
HildThePaladin finds a drawing of the ghost woman, with a man and a child.
UlfTheDane and WymanTheWarrior investigate the lump on the bed. It is a poxy man! He calls “Have you seen my Sarah”. We notice the door we came in is no longer there, and the far door is now an ornate mahogany door.
There is a man seated at a table at the far side of the room mumbling in a language none of us understand. He is sweaty with bloodshot eyes. Seems to be deeply anxious. Twitchy.
HildThePaladin shows us the drawing, and the man is the poxy man in the bed.
WymanTheWarrior opens the armoire leaking blood. A waft of putrid air fills the room. Hanging in the wardrobe are several human skins dripping blood. He thinks they were former tenants of the house. He calls us over (gross). HildThePaladin is shaken.
The mumbling man seems to be speaking French. We remember the Frenchman who bought the house 10 years ago and disappeared (we were told about him in the town).
Maybe the poxy man is the Alchemist?
We break open the iron chest–contains many cold iron weapons, which we take. It also contains a old, locked book (maybe arabic?).
AldwynnTheBattlePriest shows the book to the poxy man and the two men stand up and explode, splashing off their skins revealing two glowing spirits!
We open the mahogany door to reveal a long corridor. We enter.
We open a door to the side on a circular room. Seems like a den or study (books, fireplace, wet bar).
We wander a bunch.
