Teleportation works like star trek (fade out/fade in).

We appear in a sphere of black void, with a colored tube that has been severed. We are falling towards a black inky vortex. We fall through. Outside we see the distorted form of an enormous demon, holding the other end of our (original) teleportation tube. He leers at us. We all raise our defenses as we can (spells, weapons, magical items).

LordOrbruth (GeldarTheBard recognizes them). May be related to TheEntropy.

To the left we see a dark angel walking through a field of glowing bodies (souls?). Wearing leathers and with a bloodied face, it is reaching down and harvesting the souls, severing them into parts; the souls regenerate and die again and again.

The black portal slows even more. Vague shapes begin to form around us into a volcanic chamber/platform with a unknown teleportation circle etched on the surface. We can see stars in the distance.

I check out some stairs and a pathway leading away. They just end off in space, and grown in length as I approach.

BonifaciusHolyfeather and PhineasTristillian head up the stairway a bit.

RyujiHakima translates the writing on the circle (magic spell). He begins to transcribe it. Several creatures step out of the columns.

   2. I miss with an arrow (it circles back and almost hits me)

   4. BonifaciusHolyfeather casts a spell at one, but it dodges.
   5. PhineasTristillian shoots one, destroying it.
   6. RyujiHakima destroys one.

   1. GeldarTheBard hexes them and eldritch blast.
   2. I summon an image, run over and hide behind it
   3. JeranSteele hurts one.
   4. BonifaciusHolyfeather …
   5. … They are all destroyed. Or are they?
   6. RyujiHakima scratches RobTheBot's ears. He tells us to look out and misty steps up onto the staircase.

GeldarTheBard flies up a bit on ShadowfaxThePegasus, but stops: “Don't fly or jump too high here. It would be like falling off the edge”

I move over to the stairs (bringing my “friend” along)

JeranSteele throws a hammer up. It just keeps going. He leaves the teleportation circle. His “hell mark” burns him a bit.

BonifaciusHolyfeather joins us on the stairs.

PhineasTristillian …

RyujiHakima moves up off the stairs.

GeldarTheBard cools his robes magically. Rides up, gets slightly burned.

I move up to be with the rest. Get burned. There is another platform (we have not gone out on it yet), and a causeway headed the other direction.

PhineasTristillian steps between a couple of pillars onto the new platform. A couple of bone minotaurs, and something else (undead beholder).

   1. PhineasTristillian shoots the beholder 3 times.
   2. Beholder rays PhineasTristillian (disintegration)
   3. I shoot guiding bolt (miss), and run to hide behind a pillar.
   4. GeldarTheBard hexes the Beholder and eldritch blasts it. One of the bolts misses, comes around and hits him.
   5. Minotaurs
      1. Charge PhineasTristillian, goring him (he seems to hold them back with a burst of strength)
   6. BonifaciusHolyfeather turns undead. Minotaurs run off the edge (Beholder unaffected)
   7. RyujiHakima runs up and attacks the Beholder. Hits. Also hexes it.
2. Round
   1. JeranSteele attacks the beholder, destroying it. It's eyestalks fire off randomly.

We explore a bit. RyujiHakima finds a platform with 2 sarcophagi and several spirits

   1. PhineasTristillian shoots at the ghosts, hitting a couple of times
   2. RyujiHakima attack, and hits twice, destroying one.
   3. I shoot, miss horribly, and hit myself.
   4. JeranSteele casts a spell to help his and PhineasTristillian's courage
   5. Ghosts
      1. Ghost wails (wave a sadness comes over us–everyone saves)
      2. The other ghost wails. Everyone saves.
      3. We still take a lot of psychic damage.
   6. GeldarTheBard hits the ghosts with a something (spell?).
   7. BonifaciusHolyfeather runs up to RyujiHakima and attacks the ghost near him. Summons spiritual weapon. Attacks with that, too.
2. Round
   1. PhineasTristillian shoots, hitting 3 times
   2. RyujiHakima destroys a group of banshees (they stream back into a large translucent black stone on top of a tall plinth), then runs over and attacks the last group.
   3. I run up and attack the one by RyujiHakima, killing it.

The temperature drops until we can see our breaths.
